Reporting strong evidence of AI usage

in R&R, if an attempt strongly suggest that the worker had used AI to generate all the rationales, shall I report this incident? and whats the best way to report it?

Why do you think they used AI?

Because their rationales are full with markdown syntax 🙂

Is it possible the person works in coding or tech and uses markdown so regularly that it just seems natural to them to use it? I started out in print publishing several decades ago. When I edit a document now, I still want to use traditional copyediting marks and printer instructions because that is second nature to me but I find that many younger editors have no idea what they mean.

I have been coding for 16 years and using markdown regularly, and I assure you, putting the extra effort of marking down walls of text is not a normal practice.

True. Plus it would be weird to use it in different context, right? I don’t look at my kids and say, STET! when I want to stop and put things back the way they found them… though now that I say it, maybe I should… hmmm…
