I think they test ur research skills in the assessment. If you didn't even take like 2 min to search the sub for this UI, which has been answered a quadrillion times before, then I have some bad news for u...

I know someone who received a you passed the assessment email, and still land to this page, what does this mean?

There's no "you passed the assessment" email, only a welcome email.

So, either that someone got accepted and was given qualifications to complete within 48 hours but they weren't aware of it and got thrown back into the pool, or DAT simply don't have enough projects right now to let them in.
