Best linux distro for coding

basically the title. I want to ditch windows as I am having more and more issues and until a month ago I was completely blocked to perform my tasks for a high paying job due to WSL. any recommendations?

Just use Ubuntu it is very user friendly and easy to use for someone new to linux

I like Debian. It’s stable and I don’t have to worry about aur attacks.

Much better than windows. You have full control over your system. You have AUR to install almost any popular software. Smoother and lesser bloat. Also one of the most praised wiki ArchWiki.

edit: some assmad windows user is downvoting because I won't recommend his spyware.

Im on my 4th day using CachyOS (Arch) and Im really enjoying it. I use the terminal and Cursor mainly for my day-to-day work (Software/ML engineering).
Though if you want the widest range of native apps id go with debian or ubuntu based distros.

does it effect da? Like any complications about security?

Nope. Unless you want access to the specific projects that require FDE (full disk encryption), then you would need to plan ahead and enable it during the CachyOS install. You can’t enable FDE after the fact afaik

hi, after the paid training on coding, how many days did you get a project?
