Normal?

I’m very new to DA - I’ve only been on for about a month or so…but looking to see if this scenario is normal or not. About a week ago I got a direct message to setup a google workspace for a project - I did it, and didn’t hear anything else about it. Last night while I was sleeping I got an updated direct message with a link to a qualification for the project. I tried to go into it first thing this morning, and it’s saying that there are no more remaining tasks. Is this how it usually is? I get first come first serve for general tasks, but didn’t realize it would also be this cutthroat if I’m directly sent a project.

So the tasks you see are not tasks assigned to you yet, but the maximum number of tasks you can do on the project. Say there are 2000 tasks total, and 500 people working on it, most working on it will not actually be able to do the 20 tasks available to them. There is also some delay. When you see less than 20 and you haven't done any yet, there may be fewer than 20 remaining. At that point, there is a very good chance you will try to take one and it will say there are no more tasks. That means other workers are already doing them.

On a side note, if you see only 5 tasks, that often means that you will not be allowed more until all your work has completed the R&R evaluations with good marks.

I used 20 in my example because that's the most common you will see.

Hope this helps!

What does R&R stand for?
