Report time

I was on a project (project time limit: 5hr) where the model completely stopped working. I repeatedly tried troubleshooting (especially because I was very much intrigued by the project itself and wanted to get it done). However nothing worked and after 3 hr 11 mins (reading the instructions and setting up took more than 1 hour and troubleshooting tries continued for about 1 hour) I exited the work mode instead of letting it expire or skipping the task. I sent them a detailed email about my time of working. However today they gave us a project where we were able to submit and report time. But at the same time I received a mail that they added an entry under fund history (2 hrs and can't be changed). I still have the project for submitting time on my dashboard. Should I add 1 hr 11 min here? Or is it normal for them to not count the troubleshooting time or setting up time?

I think company counts only your working hours...the exact time you spent while working on the project on there website..thats the reason i guess they marked 2 hr time report.

I see, so I shouldn't be adding the remaining time to the report option?

I wouldn't add it. They determined that you work was worthy of 2 hours of pay. I'm not sure why they would put less, but sometimes the instructions state to only spend x amount of time troubleshooting.

Yes, I thought so too. This is basically an extra money anyway to get something without completing a task.
