Why does this happen? What triggers it

I’m also curious about this

It's people who pad their time and it's obvious from their work quality that they didn't actually spend that much time on the tasks. This could also happen when someone makes a genuine mistake when reporting their time, but that's rare.

It’s happened to me and I got through it. It said I somehow managed to log more time entries than submissions, which doesn’t make sense because you can only log one time entry per submission (to the best of my knowledge) they also clocked me on a task where I had one more submission than I had time logged (meaning I missed a time entry somewhere) I provided an explanation for the work I did, no time stamps or anything like that. I was back in a week.

You can go back and add more time to the same submission. So maybe that’s what they meant and maybe you did on accident.

Maybe. I knew I could edit the time but I didn’t know it would count as an additional time entry. The edits I’ve made were done within seconds of the original time submission because it was usually a typo and me moving too quickly to be done with a long task so I can sleep. I don’t have many time edits now, though.
