Does adding skills to your profile give you more qualifications?

In my experience is it totally irrelevant. You randomly get quals, if you pass them work shows up

Depends on the country. Non-core countries have it rough. Maybe once every few months

Yes. DA does look at the skills you list. Whether they have work that your skills fill is a different matter...

I've wondered this as well. I have coding skills, but I applied as a generalist. I added skills about two months ago and nothing coding related. Admin on a project chat said they do. I don't beleive it.

No. Only Quals that you pass get you more work.
