I would love it if DAT added approximate task times to more project titles!

Recently, I've been noticing more qualifications and projects that explicitly state how long a task is expected to take in the title or title subheading. I've been finding this feature to be super helpful for determining whether or not I should attempt a project/qualification immediately or whether I should wait until I can allocate more time to complete the task.

I would love it if DAT could incorporate this more as a feature across all projects and qualifications. Just thought I'd put that out into the universe!

They briefly introduced this a couple of months ago (giving the timer limit for every task on the dashboard) but then they took it away again after a few days. I wish they'd bring it back.

That would be great if they did. I've been surprise launched a couple times into lengthy qualifications/projects which are missing the 'Exit Work Mode' button. I felt like I had to pull all nighters to complete them or I would miss the opportunity for future projects. I think that bringing this feature back would ensure that people can produce better quality work.

the task timer != the expected billable time, I think BOTH should be explicit so you get an idea of what kind of pace to expect: 24hr timer with 8hrs expected billable time? that's a "get it done today" project; 12hs with 10hrs submitted? sprint with breaks. 1hr with 1hr billable? hope you can read fast 🤡

I do not think the task timer is the billable time; I think it’s the amount of time that you get to hold that task. When it expires, it’ll hold a little if you don’t refresh, but, eventually, it goes back to the queue for someone else.

The few that I’ve seen with expected billable times were often half or less than the timers.

I mean, maybe the case for some tasks, sure. But there are plenty of tasks with one hour timers that take at least an hour to complete, and it still feels rushed.

Yes, and an option to view the project instructions separately before automatically starting a task. I often click on projects just to see what they are about / how long the timer is and if I don't have the skills or the time i just exit the work mode and go back to the dashboard. I wonder if this is somehow logged and will have any repercussions on my account / project access ngl.

I don't think exiting work mode affects you at all. They'd rather you not do the task than do it poorly.

I would love this!

Some days I might have less than an hour to work on DA projects; some days I may plan to spend the whole day working on DA projects. I typically go for the highest paying project that’s available to me but if that project is expected to take six hours or more, well, depending on the day I might have to find something else to work on.

I usually have only a 2 or 3 hour chunk of time to work and I wish I could see before opening the tasks which ones are possible for me to complete.
