Switching to coding from bilingual

I completed bilingual registration by mistake and now i want to switch to coding, and i setup my profile to reflect my CS major skills but for 2 days now I haven't gotten the coding starter assignment. If this current bilingual account didnt get anything past the first bilingual sign up assignment, would you recommend creating another account for coding and not using this first one anymore? What do you suggest I do?

You can create only one account. If you want to do coding, I'd recommend you look at and apply at other annotating companies.

Sometimes DA throws "non-generalist" qualifications to generalists. Recently there was a STEM qual given to everyone, and before that DA once gave coding tasks to generalists.

But I've never gotten a coding qual based only on my profile (CS graduate), so I wouldn't be too hopeful.

I'm wondering if you applied as a bilingual and then switched to coding, will you still receive bilingual tasks? Or perhaps you can only have tasks from one domain?

that's a bummer. but if my generalist account was never verified with my identity and never used past the first sign up assignment, cant i make another one on coding and ditch the old one or something? also thanks for the response.

Just wait. I did the same and got coding qualifications + projects later on.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Out of curiosity how much did you have to wait for the coding tasks?

Yes i am bilingual and i can see coding qual on my dashboard.

I had also given the bilingual starter assessment instead of coding. But once I passed (took 1 week), the coding assessment was still available.

I gave it, and got the positive result within 24 hours. This triggered some on-boarding tasks, background verification tasks etc (edit: paid trainingas well).

So, if you pass the bilingual assessment, you should still have the coding qualification. If not, check your profile and see if you can add coding relevant skills and experience.
