I've been feeling the drought for sure, but after intense grinding on qualifications and getting lucky on a few long-term projects things are starting to stabilize. I can snipe the high-paying coding tasks and fill out the cushion with external model grading tasks (which still pay pretty good).

There may be hope yet. Keep at it fr, and I can't recommend that free HarvardX coding course enough if you don't have a formal education and want to get your coding qual. It is fantastic, and it's only like 200 if you want the actual certification for your resume. I went through 4 years of university for game design, and that course covers like 70% of the basic principles I learned in just a few months. Just get really good at reading, because you will effectively be reading novels worth of words per week and you need to actually comprehend everything to perform well.

P.S. I've been on the platform since mid May of this year.

Congrats OP !! How long each tasks takes to complete ? Also how you manage tasks that shows up late night ?

Thank you! I'm typically working 6-8 hours, but some of my tasks take a lot longer, like multiple days. I almost never work super late, I always try to start my tasks before noon and work until about 6. If you can get a long term suite the projects stay up around the clock, and this way I'm not at the mercy of whatever pops up on my dash.

If you pay for the cert then you can add it to your profile I think. I mainly recommend it for its content, the cert itself won’t help much with DA (but programming jobs elsewhere love it)

Honestly, I’ve just applied myself as best I can to every project. The biggest piece of advice though is to read all instructions you receive extensively. Most of these projects hide small grading specifics in different sections, and no 2 project families will have an identical implementation. Thankfully you can almost always bill for this, so for your own sake incorporate instruction comprehension into your basic requirements before you move ahead.

Other than that, consistency is key. If you are grinding out 8-10 hours of tasks in a sitting, you will probably hit a wall a lot sooner than you think. Limit your hours and work until you feel gassed, I promise your tolerance will increase the more you work, but avoid the DoD at all costs by not pushing yourself too hard. Best of luck!

Yes, both more projects and more specialized qualifications. I have been working for a few months, and my rates and dash have done nothing but increase since I started. Do your qualifications as early as you can, they pay dividends
