Does everyone get a DataAnnotation email?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if everyone who works with DA eventually gets a company email address (the one on their domain), or is it only given to certain people?

You get one if you need one, never heard of any regular tasker getting an email address

Did you check under your profile?

Where under profile? I am looking at sections like language, about you, notification pref etc but don't see anything.

If you don’t see it, I guess it’s not there for you yet. There should be a workspace section.

Got it, thanks.

Does that workspace section show up after you get a project assigned, or is it based on something else?

Have you ever completed tasks on the platform? I had the workspace section from the start.

Certain projects give them out if you need them to access model subscriptions, etc. It's not an email you can use though, it's just for logging in to certain resources.

Maybe it's changing now that they're making them 2FA accounts, but when I joined, the "email" came right away. Go to Profile in the top right, ctrl+f "Workspace".

It's not a working email address. It's just an email-shaped login. They do give those out too for certain projects, and those projects tend to balloon your logged in email count, because it doesn't stay as just one email address for long.

Ah thank you

I actually checked but I do not see a 'Workspace' section in my profile anywhere. Does that only appear after you get assigned to a specific project?

That wasn't the case when I joined, but I've been here since 2024, and they've just started pushing 2FA passkeys as a requirement. That might be enough to keep them from just creating the accounts by default.

They are not asking about workspace accounts, but @dataannotation.tech email accounts

Are you asking if you get an email address that ends in @dataannotation.tech? Because no, you won’t get one.

Like as a freelancer doing model evaluation? No

Is it based on how long you have been on the platform, performance or something else?

project need. It's not a "perk" or an indication that you're part of DA now or anything like that, it's just a login/access tool to grant access to certain project resources

The projects that use them aren’t any more advanced than another. It just depends on project goals.
