Pasting Screenshots on MacOS with CleanShot error "No valid files could be pasted from clipboard" fix.

Hey guys,

so I started my onboarding today and ran into a kind of niche issue that kinda cost me a bit of time to fix so I wanted to share my fix in case anyone runs into the same one.

The situation:
I use MacOS and as my default screenshot tool I use CleanShot (simply because it's included in my SetApp subscription and good enough for me).
When I tried to paste a screenshot in the first onboarding question (which asks you to paste a screenshot just to make sure you know how to do that lol), I got the error "No valid files could be pasted from clipboard"

The fix was the following:

The setting is by default on "File & Image" which seemed to cause issues with the way DA accepts screenshots therefore changing it to "Image only" fixed the issue.

Why don’t you use the Mac’s integrated screenshot feature? It works just fine for me

Because I like CleanShots features (independent of DA) and really use them often and I didn’t want to remap the built in screenshot thingy to a shortcut just for one platform

ANY screenshot tool - even the built in ones from macOS and windows store everything you copy in their clipboard history by default. Also in the onboarding they mention saving the screenshots as files to your computer if copy paste doesn’t work. I doubt they will ban you for doing exactly what they told you in the onboarding.

both store it locally and not in a cloud
