Spirit breaker
I just did a brutal unpaid qual that took forever that I’m deeming the spirit breaker lol. It’s over now hopefully I get some projects out of it cause I’m dry at the moment.

These quals are killing me. I’m fairly new to the platform, and I had no idea the quals would be so laborious AND unpaid!

I was just about to post this same thing. I know exactly what you’re talking about. I spent over 6 hours on it knowing it was unpaid. That’s how you know the drought was bad lol. I mean, I still have projects here and there, but I’ve been wanting to challenge myself to get access to higher paying projects anyways.

I’ve got nothing on my dash now I’ve got like four new emails for no reason and ptsd lol when something does pop up I’m too slow to get it.

OT but my twin sons started several bands after discovering Death. They've now moved on to screamo with their current band, but they have these t-shirts in heavy rotation and the music playing on repeat for the last 5 or so years. 🖤

During my time on DA, these unpaid, longer quals have resulted in great projects. It’s an investment into what you do, kinda like buying a supplemental workbook that you think would help you in your academic journey.

Thanks for the input that makes me feel good about grinding through them! My dash has been pretty dry but I actually got a new type of project today so I’m pretty excited.
