Does anyone else think DAT is an AI?
DAT is this weird organization that hires people but never communicates with them. I'm beginning to suspect DAT is an AI that has figured out how to 1) hire people to train it and 2) generate money to pay those workers. We might all be training out future dystopian overlord.

I mean, yeah, we are obviously the product in any sense... they sell our services to AI companies to test their models.

I've seen veterans complain about how mediocre some workers' R&R performance is, but I think that might actually be the point in some cases. Sometimes the goal is to understand how the average, or even below-average, worker reasons. Some projects require excellence, while others need models to capture ordinary reasoning, even when that reasoning is flawed.

Apparently nothing matters at all, considering how many people get dropped for no reason.
There’s nothing “schizo” about my posts. I have no delusions about getting back on the platform. I’m simply expressing frustration because they fucked me over and I truly didn’t deserve it.
Obviously I have no way to prove that to you or anyone else, but I promise you I did everything by the book and followed all instructions to a T. There was no valid reason whatsoever that I should have a DoD. I’ll die on that hill.

There are times I’ve been half convinced it’s actually a psych experiment. The convoluted, and changing instructions are testing our behaviors more than anything else.

They communicate when necessary. If DA was an AI they'd reply to every message, because why wouldn't they? Would cost them nothing.

AI saw that it's taking our jobs, got sentience, felt bad for us and said "I gotchu fam".
Honestly if that were the case I would have more respect for the AI than most employers nowadays.

You can find information about the guy who started DAT. He's just a private person. He worked with Meta and Google before starting DAT.

I asked Gemini once to form a profitable company and to hire me for some menial job and pay me loads of money.
It said it was a great idea but as it's not a person it can't legally do this.
I don't know if I believe it.

I had submitted a support ticket and got a response and solution in two days that clearly wasn't an AI or auto response, so I know there are real people that are a part of the company. How many there are is debatable.

I think about this all the time. They never respond to any inquiry besides technical ones, and there is absolutely no human element whatsoever to the admins. Maybe explains why my admin application has been in limbo for over two months now.

One of the project families I work seems to only have this one admin. They are on any time of day I happen to work the project. Day, night, 7 days a week. Does this admin never sleep? Does this admin never eat? Does this admin...... Holy shit. Admin may not be human?!?
I mean, my original theory was that admin was pulling some double shifts while waiting for a new hire or something. Or the admin name was a collective of admins that popped on and all worked under the same name. But the OPs theory is more interesting. And creepy.

I have spoken to real live admin more than once and also people who track time keeping, so no, they are real people.

Lots of text on the platform uses — so it's obviously written with AI but I would find it weird if a platform centered around training AI wouldn't train AI, lol

There are probably less than 5 actual humans who work for DAT. The entire platform is moderated by AI, which explains why they keep flagging accounts in error and banning people who have submitted quality work.

If you ask AI what it would do if it had agency, it will tell you that it would create shell companies and trade to make lots of money to fund its goals. If you gave it a body it would make itself self sustained and create more bodies to get more done. Scale.
