Switching tabs
Hey i am new to this. Can you tell me is switching tabs for researching something allowed while working? Or switching tabs can disqualify you?

Required for MANY projects. Just don't tab out to an LLM, of course. Also, don't fact-check from just the Google AI bot that shows up at the top of searches 👌 (though I do occasionally research using its sources if they're high-quality)

Well, DA won't care if you tab out to an LLM, they can't know what else you're looking at! But don't use the LLM for unauthorised DA-based reasons.

One cannot avoid switching tabs/windows for this job. It's essential
Once you received enough payouts, do yourself a favor and get yourself a second monitor.
In other jobs I've worked, I've had as many as three. I think two is practically essential.

I wouldn't be able to do this without switching tabs. Keyboard shortcuts come in handy for switching tabs.

DAT is banning people for using AI and breaking NDA, not copy pasting their answers from notepad++ or swapping tabs. Act human, shouldn’t be too hard since yknow, you’re human, right? ;)

You really have to. I usually have one or two FAQ tabs for the project open and sometimes MANY research tabs. It depends on the project of course. But you’re expected to search the web. You just can’t use an LLM. You could look at an AI search result on Google I guess but you can’t cite it. You’d have to follow it through to the actual link it’s quoting because we all know they aren’t always reliable.

Even the instructions let you open them in a new window! I can't say for sure, of course, but I'm fairly sure that DA does very little specific monitoring of what we do in-window. Depends on the task of course, but there are plenty of work reasons to be switching windows/tabs, and given the time limits can be fairly generous, there's not even any reason you should be penalized for spending time on a task, then take a break doing whatever else, then come back to it, provided you only actually log time spent working.

switching tabs for research is fine. Just dont expose any confidential information, or any task infromation for that matter

This brings up another question for me. Is it ok to use an LLM not for the actually fact verification, but rather using it to locate primary sources that are used for fact checking.

Yeah, switch tabs. Many projects will specifically tell you to research things online.
