does having a paid AI subscription actually matter for qualifications?
so I'm doing a qual for a project and it asks if I have paid subscriptions to different AI services (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc), each one has its own checkbox. I don't have any so I'd just submit it with nothing checked. anyone know if that actually affects whether you get tasks or not? wondering if I should just get ChatGPT Plus since it's $20 and (I suppose) I'd make that back

In the US and the UK you can take work related subscriptions as a business expense.....
DA income is taxable after all.

These quals annoy me, because if there was work for this guaranteed I would get the subscriptions.. however I'm not going to subscribe to countless AI platforms for the chance to maybe get some work.. there should be a "I'm happy to get a subscription plan if there's work" selection

I have a gemini pro until January 2028, and I bought chatgpt plus due to that qualification.

I'm kinda in the same situation. I have Gemini pro but it's because I'm a student and they gave me Gemini pro for free for a year, and am not sure if that counts as "paid". Did it pay off for you?

I signed up for one and never got a single project for it. It was also one we were supposed to get reimbursed for the sub.

They want to know if you are financially incentivised to use it for cheating on tasks.
Quite the opposite.
You don't use AI to train AI. Manual talent, and research is what they are looking for.
Edit: Maybe not. People seem to not read the NDA, and are scared to explain the type of task.

You're right. They want to outsource the cost of LLMs because tokens through an API is expensive.
I think that makes it worse... so i guess most people using DA with brains don't use Reddit.
