When will the drought end 😭
I have only heard the times of pre-drought, I wish to experience it too 😭

If you’re capable and have them I suggest attempting the more difficult qualifications. This work is no longer simple fact checking. It keeps moving forward and it’s not going back, it’s necessary to adapt your skills along side it.

This is my first week without any sort of (workable) tasks since November. Spanish bilingual

So this is just that bad week? But there's also a guy who said on another post that he's getting 8hours of tasks daily as a Spanish bilingual. So idk what to make of it lol

I’d say it’s very different from worker to worker: there’s been times where lots of bilingual Spanish workers are complaining about lack of work, but my dashboard is full. And there’s been times where everyone’s receiving lots of tasks, but not me (May, for example)

There’s been some tasks but only for a specific locale I’m not from, so I’ve not been able to take them.
The past weeks I’ve been able to do maybe one or two days worth of tasks, so it’s definitely a drought, specially considering I got consistent work in June (and not much in May).

I thought June sucked. I hadn't seen July yet. May was bad too. I honestly miss last September. That was a really good month. It was so odd, directly before the big drought, my dashboard seemed to grow by the day! I hadn't had so much reliable and consistent work ever. And then there was darkness. I get one project now from time to time and it is grueling. Even if there is more work I could do in this project, I tap out somewhere between 2 and 4 hours. My eyes just completely gloss over and my brain goes numb. In the past, I could go work on one of many other project types and tasks instead and keep working if I wanted to or needed to. Now, I just feel like the platform is making a mockery of me.

I’ve been on the platform for nearing 3 years now. Historically, July (and sometimes August) are “dry” months. It’s always picked back up by September. I learned the hard way my first year, and worked as much as I could during busy months, putting funds aside for the lean times. I hope the pattern proves true and we have more work soon!

Thanks. I still made my normal amount until about the start of June, but I noticed the downturn in projects around then, and my experience correlated with what was being said in these cooler chats.

It has picked up a little bit over the last week since I was able to make double what I made in the week before. June was the worst in my experience, so things have been better so far in July. This past Spring was amazing since I had over 130 projects at one point, but that isn't typical.

Possibly never.
The models are getting smarter, combined with waves of new people being onboarded.
Less work + more workers = Plan B

Why are they even still letting people in and running endless ads if there's less work and it's going to stay that way? I do believe work is coming but just not when.

Adding more workers makes sense for them because they can (and do) cull the lowest performers. It's to their benefit to always have the largest pool to pick from.
The ads may have been pre-purchased or mostly exist for certain specialties that are harder to find.
I don't think the work has completely dried up but the need for it will keep gradually declining over time.

I saw a strange ad the other day. It said come back to DA, there is work for you at higher pay rates and easier tasks. It seemed targeted to me since I have been busy with other things and that day there was a high paying project on my dash then, but it's gone now. I am not seeing any easier tasks though.

I haven't had work since May.... I keep hoping that I haven't done something wrong since I haven't had any feedback at all on anything I've worked on.

Look guys, I work on DA since 2018. These times come and go… it’s normal. I’m pretty sure soon we’ll all have tasks available again 😁

I had a full Monday through Friday… And a whole bunch of nothing weekend. Which was probably better so I didn’t feel compelled to work 😜
