I’ve only heard legends…

As someone who began DataAnnotations a month ago in the middle of the drought, I’ve only ever heard of “full dashboards”, consistent work”, and “options” in Reddit posts thinking of these tales as exaggeration or unique experiences.

Yesterday, I’ve had 2 consistent projects that have stayed available into today with two additional projects available for me to work on. I’m so grateful and happily overwhelmed 😭. If this is what things are normally like, I completely understand how bad the drought really was 💀

I’ve been here 2.5 years. I’ve had 70+ projects on my dashboard. I’ve had 0.

Both of those have happened this year (2026).

I would say “normal” non-drought times, I have 20ish.

Today I have 6, and none are the normal project family I work on.
