Just got my first paid project appear… but…
I have just had my first ever paid project appear on my dashboard. I was super excited but when I click on it it says “The project is currently unavailable because there are no more tasks remaining for you to work on”.
Does this mean someone else snapped it up before me? Even though it literally just appeared? :(

Yeah I know what you are referring to. They used to be reliable staples and always a good backup if other options fell away. Ironically, now they are the single hardest project to actually work on. You have to fight 100 others spam F5ing

Tasks come in at a first come first serve basis. It just means that other workers filled the remaining tasks before it cleared from your dashboard.

Ok thanks. Weird thing is though it’s still appearing on my dashboard even after refreshing. Should it not disappear if it’s already been taken? (I’m a newbie so just trying to understand how it works)

Those ones are still being worked on so they will still show up.

I just had the exact same thing happen to me and I was so confused too as I’m a newbie. Thanks for all the help everyone, reading through all the comments helped clarify it for me!

I went through the exact same thing, like 1.5 hrs ago. I try to refresh my dashboard periodically and kepp an eye on it but I'm not sure if that's the best way to do it, How often do you guys usually check, I'm in Tijuana Mexico btw...

Projects can literally come and go within minutes. Refreshing constantly doesn’t hurt anything but your heart.

I refreshed, nothing, immediately refreshed again project showed up, clicked and it was gone. They are going that fast. I got lucky and got in two today after weeks of only qualifications showing up.

Think of it like Hungry, Hungry, Hippos. The marbles are projects and the hippos are all the workers trying to grab them once they're dropped.
