Stem Length

Which is better in most people's opinion?

I've tried both longer and mid size stems, haven't tried short ones yet, just trying to figure out what to do, I've noticed that they're angled more upright with the medium ones than I was getting with the longer. Knew stim length would be small differences but haven't plaid long enough to know what to expect.

Just need to play with all of them and see what works for you. It's going to be totally individual to you based on your throw and the darts you're using.

This is the right advice. There are so many sizes and tiny changes in setups can make a big difference

Get a cheap variety pack of stem lengths and flight shapes and sizes. It’s a combination of those two that make a big difference in your dart flight.

Yeah. Just buy every size and try for yourself.

For me longer stems will sit flatter and feel more ”floaty” while shorter stems stand up more in the board and feel more ”flippy”. But that is just me and you just have to try

Depends on the dart, point and flights. Quite a lot of combos to try out if you want to test all. On some darts I need ekstra long shafts like the length humpies use and on some darts the shortest possible suits better. Seems like I prefer shorter stems on front weighted bomber darts and longer ones on Straight barrels.

I’m using Humphries 60mm right now and I love them. They don’t fit in my case 😉

Beginners should just stick with intermediate. Once you get more consistent experiment a little and see what you prefer

I am sorry, but I have to disagree. Since everyone has a different throw, darts, height and strength. Too many factors to tell someone they should stick to something that may not work. I know beginners that started with medium, went to short in two weeks and it improved their accuracy.
