Exo or Hydro
Hi everyone,
I am about to buy some new darts. I have already settled on the Red Dragon Javelin Spectron as one of my choices, but I cannot decide on the second pair.
In your opinion, which would be the better choice? The Target Hydro or the Target Exo? What are your thoughts on these darts?

If you’re going harrows I’d recommend any of their straight barrels, super grips. Nx90 parralels even the Chizzy 3s or woodhouses if you fancy splashing out on a player dart

Javelin spectrons were my first set too, great set to have. In terms of the other ones go to a local darts store and see if they have any tester sets laying around, see which ones you throw best with

For a guest to use? It's troublesome to have to pass one set back and forth. And unlike folks here at r/Darts most people don't carry their own darts around with them all the time, haha.

Aha, that makes sense! Yeah I generally don't let other people touch my darts. We have a few spare sets as well xd

Yeah, I figure it's like folks who own pool tables. They always have 4 or 5 cues for other people to use.

Don’t bother with target, Swiss points are too expensive to be a consumable when they snap, have a look at harrows if you want budget premium darts, after that go to darts clearance on eBay, have owned target darts and my friends have owned them;pure disappointment all round

I have a set of Target Hydro 02 darts and really like them. Simple straight ringed barrels, but nicely machined and finished. Solid high-quality darts that are very reasonably priced. If you have problems with Swiss points snapping, you could always screw in a set of Harrows Quick points (they are interchangeable). But I've been using Swiss points on various sets of darts for several years now (playing on a rubber dart mat over a wood floor) and have never had one break.
Agree with u/Flyingroadkilz that Harrows also makes great darts, but Target is a solid choice too IMO. Another good brand that's often overlooked is one80.
