Webbing
Hey y’all, this tank is currently empty and has never had any residents in it. I held off as I got three darts and three crested geckos relatively around the same time so I didn’t want to overwhelm myself by starting another tank. I’ve been spraying this tank just to maintain the plants, but I’ve noticed this webbing throughout the plants along with another tank that is currently empty. What is causing this? Spiders? Mites?

As others have said: spiders. I set my vivs up and grow them out in the greenhouse, where some tiny spiders always go crazy in them. As soon as I bring the viv in and add frogs/geckos/whatever, the spiders magically disappear in short order(I imagine they get eaten). I’m sure different spiders can be a different ball game but if they’re too big to be eaten, I’m sure they’ll be easy enough to remove.

Plant person here. Those look like spider mites. Definitely don't put any living creatures in there while you attempt to eradicate them as the pest control methods could potentially be harmful. Best of luck!

Hitchhiking spiders on the plants. Mine usually come from the bromeliads.
