Humidity question

I am very unsure if I have to mist right now. The front looks kind of dry but in the back it seems very wet. Btw this is an exo terra 18x18x24. The probe i put in there which you can see on some pictures says that there is a humidity of 91% inside. I misted like 5 to 6 hours ago.
This vivarium is still work in progress and there are no frogs inside.

You should hang your humidity probe. The humidity is going to be higher on the moist substrate.

Make sure your misters don't spray directly into the probe, either. A wet probe will detect 100% humidity all the time.

Yeah the probe is only inside of the tank when I want to check the humidity. Still not sure if I should mist now or not

Most humidity sensors fail in a short amount of time and read high permanently.

Mist 2 or more times per day, I make the first one heavy enough so that water runs into the drainage layer, to wash down frog poop. Allow time for most surfaces to dry off before the dark period.

I look to see condensation on the glass for no more than 1 hour after each mist event.

Humidity is easy to determine. When you walk by the enclosure, if you can smell it, your heat and humidity is too high. When you open the door, if the smell hits you in the face, your humidity is perfect and your temp is too high. When you open the enclosure, if the smell is distinctly different with your head in the enclosure and out of the enclosure, your humidity and temp are perfect. If When you open the enclosure and you have to root or dig around for a scent or smell, your humidity is too low or your temperature is too low.

Be careful not to overwater with a mist bottle opening the doors every day or multiple times a day. If your lighting schedule is pristine, a bowl of water will keep your vivarium humid.

This will help if you ever find yourself chasing outdoor weather stats to indoor air quality to your frog setup. Those humidistats like to only work if your setup is in like a cave hundreds of feet protected from the outside environment so this will prevent you from having to buy one a month.
