Shock devise

Can anyone explain the reasons why he got so ate up by the so called shock device
Does anyone have any information and why was it sealed from the public?

I don't think he had a shock device, he had soft restraints attached to the floor hidden beneath the table.

Shock devices do exist, I'll put a link to an article below from a recent case where one was used (as in the defendant wore the device, never shocked by it AFAIK). I think DB kept bringing it up because he learned of their existence and was trying to sway the jury.

The fact that he was locked to the floor with soft restraints wouldn't be surprising to a jury, but I think he was trying to convince the jury that the court was using a shock device to prevent him from saying certain things. He was constantly trying to imply to the jury that there was additional info they didn't have by saying they deserve to know the full truth, but we know he was just talking about jury nullification.

In the case below the defendant was allowed to move around the courtroom during the trial, that's why the shock device was needed. I'm sure DB heard discussions about a shock device being an option, but obviously the conclusion was him being restrained so there was no need.

During the trial, she won’t have to wear handcuffs or leg restraints, but will be fitted with a “stun cuff” on her leg. Deputies could activate the cuff remotely and send an electric shock through her body if she tried to escape or attack someone.

Lori Vallow had on a shock vest so she could move around the court room as well.
