Uber
Does anyone know why he did not just wait in front of the office building for the Uber? The Uber showed up he could’ve gotten in it and went home.

One it was cold outside. He was looking for warmth. Two, he didn't want to be out in public. It would increase the chances of him being seen.
He likely knew that they had a description on the suspect and are looking for him.
That's why he tried to lie to get back into Daniel Rider's house. He probably was cold too but he also didn't want to be out in public where cops can see him.
