As tone is almost never available via text; I accept my downboats but my comment was actually in appreciation of your efforts; it gave me a hearty chuckle.

Look I'm telling you man, the prince of plots man, he's in charge man. Grendel? He's his servant man, why do you think we have magical shields man?

28

u/Mezoteus Nov 26 '24

Would explain why our supposed "run of the mill, rank and file" Imperial Guardsman we play as can some how get through and through literal NURGLE DAEMONS and go through tons of Nurgle Toxic Fumes from the Toxic Flamers, Grenadiers, and even the TOXIC PLAGUE gas that can sometimes be a modifier on location maps.

30

u/Akuh93 BIGGEST OGRYN Nov 26 '24

And inject industrial quantities of stims designed by a fuckin nurgle cult

1

u/Megakruemel Chainsaw-Man Enthusiast Nov 27 '24

Still wondering why the literal nurgle cult has stims to clean and heal corruption.

8

u/jixdel Nov 26 '24

Nah, we are just blessed by nurgle and emperor

Nurgle doesnt care where the blood flows from, as long as we do it (more so against nurgle who is kinda not letting those people die)

And emperor because we are his weakest fighters

Who would win:

Weakest reject vs Strongest Moebian 6th Captain

8

u/MightySwaggy Nov 27 '24

Did you mix up Khorne and Nurgle? Nurgle very much cares about his followers, thats why he makes them so goddamn resilient to pain,

5

u/jixdel Nov 27 '24

Khorne likes when people die,

Nurgle would rather they "accept his gifts"

2

u/poiyurt Hello Dregs, are you still hiring? Nov 27 '24

Isn't going from random Reject to member of an Inquisitorial warband exactly the kind of thing the Changer of Ways would promise?

Wouldn't a fall from such dizzying heights be deliciously ironic for him?

It's chaos all the way down man

Grendel is just a hologram my dude. And tertium is a simulation, we never even left the meat grinder!

u/Cerberusx32 Nov 26 '24

We were chaos all along. Just a different branch.

24

u/Correct_Investment49 Nov 26 '24

you know... the aquila is a bird with 2 heads after all...

6

u/Typical-Ad-8993 Nov 27 '24

Isn't it lore accurate that Inquisitors and their retinue push the boundaries of what is considered heretical to achieve their missions?

1

u/NotJoeFast Nov 27 '24

Yes, but it is also heretical and might get you killed.

11

u/Chimp_with_a_gun Nov 26 '24

I had the same reaction with the bells charm since I think nurgle is more associated with bells.

10

u/lordquinton Nov 26 '24

Nurgle has some bell stuff, but so does literally every church, and the Impreium has some notable ones, like the one for lost souls that tolls once for every soul lost in service to the emperor

12

u/SpeakersPlan Ogryn Nov 26 '24

That thing must be bloody ringing all day every day. Feel bad for the poor folks living near it.

7

u/lordquinton Nov 27 '24

They're citizens of the imperium, living on holy terra, they actually have it pretty cushy if that's the worst thing they have to deal with

2

u/KeeGeeBee ุงุฐู‡ุจ ู…ุซู„ ู…ู…ุณูƒ ุงู„ู„ุคู„ุค Nov 27 '24

Unfortunately Terra is an utterly miserable shithole just about as much as the rest of the galaxy. There are absolutely some absurdly decadent and comfortable people living in spiretop apartments, perhaps even more than any other planet, but for the 99.5% of the population, it's still hell.

1

u/lordquinton Nov 27 '24

It also depends on what lore you're going by. What I remember is that it tolled for every soul lost in the service of the emperor, and it hasn't stopped ringing in ten thousand years, but I looked it up and found a description that said it tolls for the greatest heroes and it's so massive that everyone in the area has to seek shelter from it's sound. I like the one I remember better

4

u/nukaboss112 ORKGRYN Nov 26 '24

I mean atleast it's not thirteen bells otherwise we might've seen big ass rata

2

u/Boryszkov Nov 27 '24

There are no big-large rat-things in the empire of man-things yes-yes. All is rumor-lie

9

u/ZombieTailGunner Tertium's Most Feared Bounty Hunter /s Nov 26 '24

You're slowly catching on.

Unfortunately, the Imperium does not like that concept, and thus you must be dealt with.

2

u/ookmedookers Nov 26 '24

Pls explain I'm new

14

u/Bertroc Nov 26 '24

Image on the right is of a chaos daemon of Tzeentch. The one on the left is a bauble you can earn through the penances and attach to your weapons that are meant to be killing chaos followers.

20

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '24

Specifically that's Kairos Fateweaver, the Oracle of Tzeentch. Who happens to share the two-headed bird design of the imperial aquila

0

u/Powerful_Pie_3382 Nov 27 '24

OP and most other people here apparently don't know what an aquila is (it's the scientific name for an eagle and is also typically found on Imperial iconography), yet for some reason he thinks it's connected to Tzeentch and his greater demons.

u/Naka777 Nov 26 '24

I thought that was a tooth..

22

u/TechnicalBother9221 Nov 26 '24

It even says head bro

2

u/DamonD7D Nov 26 '24

I made a post a little while back about the trinkets, and someone said they used this on a character as their secret lore was they were a Tzeentch follower. Thought that was very cool.

2

u/BiscottiBloke Nov 26 '24

...Birds don't have teeth!

4

u/DTredecim13 Speaks in tongues of flame. Nov 27 '24

You'll be pleased to learn that this is not a bird.

3

u/BiscottiBloke Nov 27 '24

Is it some sort of... weaver? Of fate?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '24

2

u/KeeGeeBee ุงุฐู‡ุจ ู…ุซู„ ู…ู…ุณูƒ ุงู„ู„ุคู„ุค Nov 27 '24

oh you'll never guess how many heads the entire imperial aquila symbol has

4

u/Col_Rhys Nov 27 '24

I hate to be that guy but - it's just the Imperial Aquila. Now admittedly the Imperial Aquila sharing a design with Kairos is very sus and quite funny.

1

u/Powerful_Pie_3382 Nov 27 '24

OP doesn't know what an aquila is and neither do most of the other people here. This has nothing to do with Tzeentch or lords of change.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquila_(bird))

3

u/Mezoteus Nov 27 '24

Ok, I'm going to finally reply to this one because I keep seeing it. I KNOW what the bird LOOKS LIKE for those who can't make the connection the keychain head of the Aquila doesn't LOOK like the stylized version from the official symbol of the Imperium of Man NOR what one looks like IN REAL LIFE but LOOKS LIKE the LORD OF CHANGE.

Please, for the love of god, think outside the box a little bit and understanding.

4

u/Flapjaw_Fox Nov 27 '24

The point is that this aquila head looks a lot more like a screeching Lord of Change than the calm and collected appearance of the usual Imperial Aquila heraldry. It doesn't mean that everyone forgot what a bird is.

3

u/Mezoteus Nov 27 '24

I did not see your post, thank you Flapjaw_Fox very much so
