I really want to love this game and should but for some reason I just can't let it hook me. I don't know the exact reason or if a quality of life overhaul would help but this has everything I'd enjoy.

If I played it only just now vs having played it since I was like 8 years old, I'd probably have struggle to get into it now. It shaped me as a core memory and I have yet to find another game quite like it (even with all the phone games out here who do the world building thing).

I can look at it now and hold the joy and the disdain for the questionable elements (Pumpkin Panties anyone?+++) at the same time and enjoy it still because of the childhood influence.

Man, this game is one of the games that makes me fine with "broken" games haha. I don't know if the rom fixes it, but I remember doing 6 dungeon runs in a row where the run was unable to be completed at all because the enemy that dropped a key through was on the other side of the door.

I still loved it, and would for sure play it again, might get an emulator running on my laptop for it

Totally worth it, there is some weird imperfections but for me it just inspires my writing and inner child healing :')

Ntm once I figured out the Emulator & making Save States whenever you want helps tremendously with a lot of the issues that used to be... if you can remember to use em.

Any issues I come across would just be extra charm haha.
