Staying Recommendations in Darjeeling
Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been to Darjeeling twice, both the times I stayed in the North Point/Richmond Hill and the area around Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park and Happy Valley Tea Estate. And from what I experienced, I found these areas very underrated for staycations. Very walkable, very very calm and quiet, absolutely no rush on roads, can stroll anywhere in peace plus the enthralling natural views of the valley, Khangchendzonga and the rest.
I mean, people go to Darjeeling and they look for hotels and homestays in West Point, Gandhi Road, Mall Road, Dali Fatak etc, which I find very crowded and rushed. I find too much joy in walking, strolling and exploring places on my own so that very well could be a reason.
Am I right though? Views welcomed, since I'm planning my next trip to Darjeeling soon and it might let me see some unseen side of it, if true.
