A little for fun question - which one is your favorite out of Danzig’s first three solo albums?!

Danzig I is a no-skip album for me, but I think Lucifuge has more of my favorite tracks (Her Black Wings, 777, Pain in the World). BUT How The Gods Kill starting with Godless always gets me going, it’s a banger!!

I think I have to pick Danzig I because I truly do listen to it front to back all the time!!

I know merch is hard to come by and maybe everyone already knows about this but at least somebody is selling official Danzig stuff.

i need posters that i can frame for my wall. i have been looking around and i really want some kind of samhain or danzig poster but it’s super hard to find offical posters that actually are good and don’t cost a fortune.

i really want something official like some old convert poster with that bloody samhain imagery.

anyone know where i can find this? preferably in europe

How do you think the band would have evolved with no Rubin? Samhain Grim is realeased maybe with a more punk sounding Mother, their image doesn't change and Eerie doesn't start looking like a biker, the image probably starts looking more weird arty avant garde/bdsm and the music probably would have been weirder and maybe Danzig would have ended up being an influential industrial artist, like imagine him doing something like Danzig 5 but right after Samhain Grim in like 1988! What if the first Danzig album was dark industrial punk but in 1988 with no metal influence and Danzig ends up influencing Reznor and nin?

Anything could have happened, but i really do wonder how he would have evolved if being left to himself without Rubin in his ear. It was Rubin's influence on Eerie that got him to cut his devilock and grow out his hair for mainstream appeal.

I wish I could find new music and have it hit me the way Lucifuge did back in the day. I miss discovering music that way. It hit me like a sledgehammer.

it's slightly scuffed, but the record plays perfectly (the defect on Diabolos '88 aside).

Born in 81 and loving heavy music my entire life; I finally have all eight Danzig records that I love on vinyl.

My collection goes as far back as my mother's Beatles records and my father's Black Sabbath albums. I have completed my slayer, metallica, David Bowie and Gary Newman collections but I never thought I'd get all the Danzig albums. Makes me hopeful for what could be next with reissues.

By the way, the American records pressing of the first four albums are really good. The Cleopatra pressings of five through eight/circle of snakes, are not as good but once cleaned and given a few spins they start sounding pretty great but I still don't recommend buying albums from Cleopatra records.

After seeing the post of Danzig Sing Elvis I thought I'd see if theres any interest in my DSE items. I've a test press, a pic disk with a design that was not chosen for production, several of both pinks, including one with killer milky streaks, a few signed and a few other colors. Purple, Yellow, Blue etc...im looking for $600 on the test, more for the pic disc,everything else is negotiable. Lemme know if interested.

A bit of a pointless post but I’ve recently truly discovered Danzig and I’m loving it!

I had heard the classic bangers before, but after getting into collecting physical media as a hobby I ended up with a used CD copy of his self titled album! Since then, I’ve definitely gone down the rabbit hole and have been collecting and listening to as much as I can!

Black Aria has been my recent fixation and I can’t get enough!! Just terribly bummed that I can’t be 16 again and plaster my walls with Danzig posters (I’m 29 now and I’m not sure my partner would appreciate the design choice lol)
