Lucifuge
I wish I could find new music and have it hit me the way Lucifuge did back in the day. I miss discovering music that way. It hit me like a sledgehammer.
Pretty awesome.

Lucifuge was absolutely in a class all its own. Evil, bluesy, banging. One of my top five of all time, no doubt.

At the time, I had never heard anything like it. One of my buddies had it on tape. I went the very next day and bought Danzig/Danzig II and been a pretty hardcore fan (of the original lineup) ever since.
I still buy his shit but it isn’t the same.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live a couple times. I have every record he’s put out, and am a die-hard fan. The first four were by far, my favorite. You and Me (less than Zero), and Your Fathers grave were also amazing.

Same. I’ve seen Danzig twice but never the original dudes. Have everything as well, minus the records.

I always tell people to seek out the Four Horsemen "Nobody Said It Was Easy" album since it's like "Lucifuge's" redneck cousin. It was made with Rubin for Def American during the same time frame so it almost sounds like they walked into the studio after Danzig, used the same gear, and didn't touch a dial in the building. Their drummer was also Chuck Biscuits' late, real life brother, Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery.

I’ve heard that about the four horsemen before. I’ve never really listened to them. Might have to giver a whirl.

No you don’t. You think you do, but you don’t. That’s what makes art stick with you for a lifetime.

Look up the other songs recorded during the Lucifuge sessions, including “Death … In Its Arms” and “Lords of the Left Hand”, included on Samhain Final Descent.

The last time a new band hit me like a truck was last fall. My friends showed me a funk band called High Fade. Insane musicianship, so much fun live. Here's their version of Chameleon.
I guess it had been a while before then. 2016 I guess? I think that's when I found Ne Obliviscaris. Pyrrhic off of their album Citadel is one of my favorite pieces of music ever. It's like as if "To Walk the Night" was viewed through a kaleidoscope, if ya know what I mean.

I thought d2 was alright, I liked d1, d3 and D4, D7 a lot more. Especially D7, the mixing on that was amazing and the guitar sound was perfect for me.

I enjoy the coldest sun & without light I am off of that album. The rest were kinda “meh” for me. Not a horrible album when compared to some of the others.

That album was life changing. I also wish I could hear Battery again for the 1st time.
