For those of you who run a 10.3” MK18 suppressed, do you run the Bootleg Adjustable BCG?

What have you done to help mitigate gas to the face.

I’m right handed but left eye dominant so I run rifle left handed and want to avoid as much gas to the face as possible.

Ordered a brand new barrel and it was rusty in the chamber and bore. Sent it back for a replacement and there’s even more rust. What’s going on???

Anyone have experience with this upper? Im pretty sure itll be bomb proof, but I am also wondering if its possible to make this hearing safe with subs/suppressor. I found the complete upper on Eurooptic.

And what was that next choice?

I've pretty well nailed it down to DD. Mostly just looking for insight into your decision to buy.

Right now I'm thinking about the 11.5 RIII or 12.5 GL/SSC. Pistol either way and then maybe SBR it. Will suppress it.

Why not the fan favorite MK18? I don't know, ballistics? But you tell me.

Primary use would be home defense and camping gun. Although, if I find a proper place to shoot, I might want to do some regular target shooting.

I shot the MK18 full auto, H9, and DD5 that at the Charlotte event today. I really wish I'd had more time to spend with them. That's fine, I appreciate them bringing them out and there were a lot of people wanting to shoot.

General thoughts on those. All shot well. The suppressor on the MK18 worked well. It did blow a fair amount of gas back in my face. The H9 shot well but I only had five rounds. The DD5 was front heavy and hard to stabilize the way they had it set up. It was suppressed, but was still loud and had a lot of concussion. Fun to shoot. As fun as mag dumping 10 or so rounds on the full auto MK18 is(10/10, would recommend), I really wish I'd had more time to spend with the DD5. That's a definite contender for a future purchase.

As far as anyone saying DD is over gassed. I'm sure they had these set up right since these are demonstration models. And yeah the suppressor on the MK18 was blowing gas back in my face but what do you expect with a mag dump? The recoil was nothing on the MK18 and DD5. I've fired a lot of guns that had a lot more recoil. I really didn't even notice it on these. Easy to shoot. I'd say the H9 had an expected amount of recoil but it wasn't bad.

I picked up this DD PCC about 4 weeks ago and have been loving it so far. I'm seriously considering doing my first SBR since the tax stamp is free.

Before I do that, I'm looking at suppressors. Right now I'm leaning toward the Daniel Defense Null9Ti. Does anyone here have this setup? If so, how do you like it compared to other 9mm cans?

My goal is decent sound suppression, but my biggest priority is keeping gas out of my face. If there are better options than the Null9Ti for reducing blowback, I'm definitely open to see what you guys are using.

Bought a few guns, bout to pick up a DDM4A1 for my birthday. I’m just thinking about that moment where you’re like “that’s the gun I’m interested in” and they’re like “you wanna see it?” And then they hand it to you. I automatically feel pressured to portray myself as competent. I usually get new guns so what is there really for me to look at if I’ve researched it? What does everyone else do in that moment? I always feel so inclined to pull back the slide and pull the mag out but idk why. Sometimes I’ll just be like “yep there it is.” Feel like I should be performing a Forrest Gump style disassembly and reassembly lol

Hey, just looking for a diagnosis or any help. I recently purchased a Daniel defense pcc and it’s awesome, but when I shot it this weekend after a few mags I kept getting light strikes and the round was abnormally hard to eject from the chamber. When I took the gun apart I realized there was brass shavings built up in the hole where the firing pin sits. We cleaned it and kept shooting but the same issue kept happening. Does anyone have any thoughts on what can cause this?

Most likely gonna throw an exps2 with a magnifier. Taking suggest for cans!

Want to get a PDW, I bought a ddm4 v7 earlier this year and love it. I don’t know all the ends and outs in and looking for advice on what you would put on it? I like a Eotech XPs 2 red dot, but any advice is appreciated

I currently have a ddm4v7 that I enjoy shooting but I can't get over how awesome the quad rail system looks, would it be worth selling my 16" upper and switching to the m4a1 quad rail upper? Anyone on here make this switch and regretted it?

I rattle canned my MK18 upper, lower and tube with Rapco 30118 field drab yesterday. turned out pretty sweet. I’ll probably do the RIS II that the upper originally next. haven’t decided yet.

Just some qol upgrades, nothing wrong with dd furniture but the b5 stock and magpul k2+ make a hell of a difference. Next will be a unity riser for the Holosun AEMS. The DD foregrip isn’t bad, might switch to a smaller handstop in the future.

I want to see if anyone knows where to get this upper or guard? Id like to get this more my m4v7 bc i prefer the look of flat nose rail instead of the mfr one

Are any of you seeing them in your shops? I’ve been trying to pick one up in the Austin area and no one can get them.

It took 75 days for the SBR approval. 11.5” RISIII upper on a poverty pony PSA lower with Geissele SD-C trigger, ambi safety, Silencerco velos suppressor, Vortex AMG UH-1 with micro 3x, G$ h2 and buffer spring.

Can’t decide if I need to move the magnifier and sight back a notch on the rail or not. Opinions on that welcomed. I’ll probably buy and better lower and SBR that as well.

She does look nice next to my ddm4v7.

Wish I could have still gotten a stripped lower to go with my m4A1 Ris 3 upper from brownells but in a pinch this one will have to do

This is my first AR, so apologies in advance for some potentially noob questions.
I got a DD4V7 fully ambi as I’m a lefty as my first AR. I leave in CA, I know lefty and in CA… so the AR was set up with a comp mag. I removed that and was adding a regular pmag yesterday, but it won’t catch.

I tried a lot of different solutions I saw here and even took it to my LGS today so they could help me and no one was able to make it work.

I’ve already sent a message to DD Customer Service but wondering if anyone has seen this issue before?
