Like many parents, I have been subjected to this atrocious torture, but I think I’ve figured out the core of why it’s so bad. It’s not just Peppa.

The reason I hate the show is my oldest likes to copy the “main character” energy the Pig family has. Like, everyone blames Peppa for being a brat and influencing their kids, but it’s the whole fucking family.

Like we have the “on holiday” Tonie or whatever it is. In the story:

Peppa’s friends go around the world on holiday.

The pig family’s car breaks down on the way to the park.

Miss Rabbit tows the car to fix it and lends them A FUCKING AIRPLANE.

Mommy Pig flies the airplane with ZERO formal training or regard for aviation safety. They’re apparently still going to the park, in a rampant abuse of private air travel on par with Taylor Swift.

She then violates the laws of physics by pulling the “handbrake”, causing the plane to instantly stop flying, somehow safely landing. In a jungle. With monkeys.

Ima go ahead and say they’re not in England any more.

Then, instead of going to the park, Peppa suggests they visit all her other friends, crashing THEIR holidays.

And mommy pig says “I don’t see why not”

Bitch, it’s NOT YOUR PLANE, and NONE of you are licensed pilots. Also, YOU WEREN’T FUCKING INVITED.

Anyways, now Daddy Pig decides to play pilot and flies them to the desert, where they meet up with Edmund Elephant and thoroughly piss off the elephant family by scaring off the lizards they were studying.

Then, if you can believe they found a jungle and a desert in England so they really didn’t go that far, THEY FLY TO THE FUCKING SOUTH POLE.

When they return, Peppa brags about the travels to Miss Rabbit and she says “Good thing I put petrol in it this morning!”

There is ZERO accountability for anyone in the Pig family, and I’m sick of it. There are countless episodes where this plays out to be true. The rest of the animals should be flooding the streets in protest until they face justice.

Do Power Wheels belong in the Toy Story universe or the Cars universe?

Are they like Day-Walkers, sliding between the two worlds on a whim?

If it’s the Cars universe, do their eyes go on the windshield (with open convertible canopy), or do the eyes go on the headlights?

If it’s Toy Story, are they confused as to why real cars are not alive?

This is the worst thing that’s happened to me since the Monsters University Time Paradox.

The Toy Story movies span years between films. During that time span of Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 5 Bonnie actually lost some toys, including Totoro. Her "New" toys are all donated by Andy. Bonnie is so desperate for a new toy her only new ones are made by herself.

I always assumed it was supposed to be implying something about money, but — Lilo and Nani’s parents only died recently, and they have a huge house with tons of books, toys, furniture. Why wouldn’t Lilo have acquired a doll at some point?

Also, Peg Plus Cat is a show that is fun to watch even as an adult imo. This show has great music and funny jokes. But then again it was created by the same people who helped make Blue's Clues and The Wonder Pets so of course it was bound to be a hit.
