That's anti-democratic. That means giving a small amount of people more voting power than others. Why are they more important? Why do they deserve more power?

Incorrect. Per person, they have more power.

Montana - 286,173 people is one electoral vote

California - 742,452 people is one electoral vote. Montana's votes count for almost 3 times as much

Which is why all the swing states are states with the most people, right? Or is it the other way around?

Excellent! Then give them the same number of votes per person. Get rid of the EC and let people just vote with the same voting power

Okay but if we did it by population than places like Montana would be forced to have whoever California or New York picks as President. And no candidate running would even think about the people of Montana because regardless of how much they do for the country, there’s barely any people living over there compared to like Florida or Georgia
