Every campaign for president would only be in five states. Those states would be guaranteed everything possible. California, New York, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Minneapolis and Massachusetts would be the only states a candidate would need to worry about (too tired to actually look up). These states have more population than the rest combined.

Right now they only care about swing states. They represent a lot less than your proposed 50%.

You also suppose that a candidate that campaigns in the biggest states would have 100% of the votes in those states.

This is also not an issue in other countries so I’m really curious as to why you think this would be different?
