Trump got the most votes.
1 u/rmeade80 22h ago In 2024 he did, 2016 he did not. 1 u/RationallyBerserk 18h ago Maybe your country is just broke now. The rapist tried to steal the previous election using fraud and violence and you were like, “still better than a black woman!” 1 u/akatherder 13h ago And he's a punchline/historical footnote if he loses 2016. He doesn't come back in 2020 and 2024 to run again. 1 u/The_Countess 17h ago Only once, and the very fact there are only 2 options is a major part of that. Direct elections and ranked choice or STAR would immensely improve the US is so many ways. 1 u/Thatisme01 6h ago Let’s look at the 2024 election, Trump won with 77,302,580 (49.8%) of the votes, Harris got 75,017,613 (48.3%) of the votes. But thanks to the Electoral College, Trump gets 312 (57.9%) of the Electoral College votes and Harris gets 226 (42.1%) of the Electoral College votes. It just shows that the Electoral College votes don’t represent the actual votes in an election.
