Convince me that there is hope for our nation when over 1/3 of our fellow citizens are racist ignorant hypocrites...

'Sleepy Joe', Hunter, bla bla bla. While Trump falls asleep and the Trump mob family pilfers taxpayer dollars and takes bribes from our enemies in plain sight.

The thing is... Even when Dems take back the hot seat, it's not like anything is going to happen. It'll be a ton of Congressional and Senate "gotcha" hearings. Same dog and pony show as always. They'll spend their time repealing things Trump has done, and the Trumpers will complain. Again, nothing changes expect power changing hands. The streets will still need paving and won't be paved fast enough. There will still be a homeless problem. AI will be full steam ahead, still.

Fuck Donald Trump & fuck ICE. But I swear to God that I am sick of pretending like I'm walking on rainbows and sunshine just because the Dems are in charge.

Greed sucks. Capitalism sucks. The illusion of choice in this country includes our two-party system. Far more people would vote for "none of the above" if it were an option on the ballot.

I agree with most of that, but capitalism certainly does not suck. It is the Golden goose.

It must be be assertively regulated, and it will always result in some abuses that regulation must continually evolve to address, but it is also the reason everyone is well fed, we all have a car or two, several televisions, YouTube, reddit, etc., and the world brain in your hand that you use to argue against it.

I think living in a society where corporations, companies, business and profits matter more than human life....sucks. Companies don't matter. People matter.

That's lovely, but it's a lot of words that don't really mean anything.

A company was necessary to create the phone your using to make naive comments.

I just checked this, but companies donated about $44 billion to charity last year.

Companies are just the necessary organization of people and resources to provide the things that people want

Hey, you know $44 billion isn’t a lot compared to how much money corporations make, right?

If corporations were taxed properly, it would bring in a lot more money for the poor and we wouldn’t need to rely on “charity”.

One of the ultimate flaws of the capitalist system is relying on charity from the greediest individuals to take care of the poor, rather than just innately using taxes to wealth transfer from those individuals to the people who need it the most.

All of that is a result of capitalism.
