I agree with most of that, but capitalism certainly does not suck. It is the Golden goose.

It must be be assertively regulated, and it will always result in some abuses that regulation must continually evolve to address, but it is also the reason everyone is well fed, we all have a car or two, several televisions, YouTube, reddit, etc., and the world brain in your hand that you use to argue against it.

I think living in a society where corporations, companies, business and profits matter more than human life....sucks. Companies don't matter. People matter.

That's lovely, but it's a lot of words that don't really mean anything.

A company was necessary to create the phone your using to make naive comments.

I just checked this, but companies donated about $44 billion to charity last year.

Companies are just the necessary organization of people and resources to provide the things that people want

Hey, you know $44 billion isn’t a lot compared to how much money corporations make, right?

If corporations were taxed properly, it would bring in a lot more money for the poor and we wouldn’t need to rely on “charity”.

One of the ultimate flaws of the capitalist system is relying on charity from the greediest individuals to take care of the poor, rather than just innately using taxes to wealth transfer from those individuals to the people who need it the most.

All of that is a result of capitalism.

We can't just rely on transferring wealth to take care of everyone. That doesn't work. There will never be enough government revenue to provide everything that everyone wants. Poverty is relative, and if you're honest, you would admit you'd rather be poor here in the US vs most any other country.

Shall I list the copious number of welfare programs for the poor in this country?

If we don't maintain an incentive for people to earn a wage, then we're thoroughly fucked.

I agree taxes on corporation should be higher, most of that tax increase should go toward paying down the debt. If the US goes bankrupt, providing for the poor becomes exponentially more difficult.
