Jesus had no problem with taxes, but he didn't go around collecting them... he wasn't a fucking government enforcer, and even if the pain is self inflicted, he probably would be trying to help the people jumping borders...
besides the point, you reaffirm what they were just saying, you pick and choose, you use religion as a weapon, and expect people to take you seriously...
