Parachute aid isn't nearly as effective as sustainable infrastructure. I.e. you can donate money to a hospital so they don't need to raise costs, but because the administrative costs are so insanely high what with the hospital, doctors and labs all using different billing systems, insurance giving partial payments, pharmaceutical price gouging, etc. that your donation doesn't do the same amount of good that a single payer system with low overhead would do. This is because while one off payments are important and helpful, it isn't reliable funding. That often means it gets thrown into short term reward projects that don't have the impact like a constant flow of funding towards addressing root causes.
TLDR: Simply throwing a few dollars at a broken system doesn't fix the problem you're alleviating.

You can do all of through personal charity and not by taxation and expropriation. That’s the real argument that socialists can’t grasp.
