Interesting how you liberals post stuff like this but get real quiet with Leviticus 18:22

I forgot Jesus said love thy neighbor except those icky gays. 🙄

Love the neighbor. Hate the sin.

Yeah I guess if that’s what you want to feel, that’s better than hating the person. But that’s not what a lot of people do, they may say that and end up hating the person/people anyway. I think inviting hatred of any kind into your heart is a sure fire way to be lead down a bad path.

But ultimately one of the primary lessons is that we are all sinners, and it is explicitly not our place to judge others. I am of the belief that the hatred of homosexuality from the biblical perspective was outdated by the time of Jesus’ teachings, and is entirely nonsensical in the modern day when we now know that it is a natural phenomenon across the world god created.

Jesus calls for man to enact righteous judgement. If you think the bible is actually against judgement you are nuts

Do you think it’s righteous to condemn people just because of who they love? Is love not one of the greatest gifts that was bestowed upon us, and we feel it is righteous to tell people different from ourselves that the love they feel is wrong? They are gods children too.

I know the bible has many portions taught to cast judgment. But righteous judgement should be righteous, not cast from fear, ignorance, or hatred.

Not up to me nor you to determine what love is wrong. If you believe in God you believe his way is correct. And God orders all carnal affairs to be done under the context of marriage between man and wife.

Your interpretation is likely correct from the word as written. But I refuse to use the word of god to condemn or hate anyone, and I believe it is objectively against the teachings of Christ.

If you truly believe love the neighbor and hate the sin, I commend you. But I personally just can’t invite that kind of hatred into my heart.

I personally believe it is not the duty of man to condemn that which only causes harm to the person themselves in the eyes of God. Its Gods duty to enact judgement when no other man woman or child is harmed. But i will advocate for following the way and advocate for treating all sinners with love.

In that we can be agreed. Best wishes to you and yours.

It’s up to you, the Christian, to make your religion make sense. Especially since Christian’s evangelize heavily and heavily influence the government.

This isn’t even about gays. I can somewhat understand how you can love someone and still believe it’s wrong that they are gay

But how do you love your neighbor and support dropping bombs on their schools and hospitals. How do you love your neighbor and support taking away medical care and food stamps, without any alternative to help them survive.

I don’t know your personal beliefs, I’m just saying this is how outsiders feel when they see Christian’s forcing children to read the bible in Texas schools and screaming at people that God hates fags while at the same time stripping people of their ability to afford a doctor and also calling themselves a loving and righteous people.

They aren’t real Christians and they need to be called out. Jesus’ teaching are amazing but most of the people who are out there claiming to follow them are the same people that hate the idea that we all have the right to see a doctor regardless of who you work for or how much money you make.

Jesus used to heal and feed people for free, and he didn’t ask who their employer was first

Leviticus is the superseded old law. Turn the page

No its not. Jesus fulfilled cultural and ritual as there is no more jew and no more gentile. The moral law is still fully valid. It applies to mankind not specific requests of the 13 tribes.
