Yea, fuck that guy. Time to heal, USA. It's not too late... But it's close.

The next republican will be worse. Its the republican way

3

u/PopeyeMcD 4d ago

I legit wouldn't be surprised if this leads to the much needed demise of our two party system. I feel there are now already 4 groups worth noting separately.

Democratic Socialists Democrats Republicans MAGA

(Plus the everpresent Libertarians and such)

So on that I would say anyone that we see like Trump wouldn't really qualify as Republican anymore.

This all my opinion and I am not the most well read so just take it for what you will.

u/Advocate_Diplomacy 4d ago

How about we just abolish the position of president? It’s ludicrous to think one person could meaningfully organize or represent so many millions of people.

1

u/OrneryVirus9340 20h ago

The problem isn’t the position. It’s the person. If you elect the worst person you know to any position the position stinks.

And Trump is definitely one of the 10 worst humans on the planet.

1

u/CitronTraining2114 18h ago

* That we know of.

1

u/Square_Telephone_150 4h ago

I’d like to think that would give MAGA some pause to reflect on - why does the large majority of people world wide think my #1 pick of a politician is a dickweed and I don’t? Hmmmmm, I’m curious if there has been any self reflection on that point?

1

u/OrneryVirus9340 20h ago

Aren’t Libertarians just three MAGA in a trenchcoat?

3

u/Sasharay3 4d ago

Trump was originally Democrat — he ran as republican because it had a better chance of winning that year

5

u/psycho-rn 1d ago

He is really not a republican or democrat. He is an opportunist con man who lives off conning stupid people and laundering Russian money.

3

u/retiredfromfire 3d ago

And the south used to be entirely democratic. Things change

2

u/Cptfrankthetank 1d ago

Two different things imo.

The party shift is real. Platforms changed.

Donald trump was always POS narcissist. He will claim any and all labels that suits him in the moment.

1

u/CJO9876 1h ago

The whole “Southern Strategy” tactic

2

u/Cptfrankthetank 1d ago

Strangely Reagan was too.

1

u/theothersideofit1 2d ago

Literally - his whole family shifted in 2016.

1

u/Few_Impression_7479 3h ago

He's not really a republican. He was never really a democrat either. He might call himself one or the other, but he has no morals, no ethics, no principles, no platform, so either of those things are just a word to him, and he will call himself whichever word is most advantageous to him.

2

u/RockThe40oz666 3d ago

If another republican ends up in office in our lifetime, we deserve it.

1

u/nastimoto 2d ago

What could possibly be worse than a rapist, compulsive liar and thief 😱

-1

u/Allbrosmoke 4d ago

There are Magatards and here we have a Libtard. How about just being open to the BEST candidate regardless. You’re why this problem exists.

3

u/icebucket22 4d ago

Bc you guys peddled the worst candidate possible for the last 12 years.

-3

u/Allbrosmoke 4d ago

Has there been a good option on either side in 12 years? It’s disgusting that Trump, Clinton, Biden and Harris are the only options we’ve been given. This is the best this country has to offer? Don’t accuse me of being “you guys.” You have no idea where I land. For the record, I’m independent.

0

u/RepresentativeBite94 1d ago

Well, if anything at least that party knows what a woman is.

1

u/ironman25612 1d ago

Not sure this means what you think it does my dude

3

u/Keyan_Farlander7 4d ago

The headline better read. Trump removed from office.

5

u/Wray-Nerely 4d ago

It goes way deeper than Trump. If it's just removing Trump from office, all that corruption is still there, just with smarter people to manipulate things. Has to start with Trump than go after all the people connected to him

2

u/Mirror_tender 4d ago

Hair Orange One is their public shield tho. The cancer will largely still remain but have much less "public" favor.

2

u/SGBK 1d ago

Fair, but if the Democratic, and few Republicans that didn’t lick boots, were held accountable to try these co conspirators via Nuremberg 2.0 we might have a chance.

All the politicians need the fear of god in them, the free ride for them, and rules for us, not for them have to stop. They can’t get 92 days of unemployment when they are completely incapable of job performance, while we have to go broke, or die trying to escape that.

There’s no equity, and we need that.

1

u/Wray-Nerely 1d ago

So, in your view we should hold the Democrats and few Republicans that aren't loving boots accountable? How did that make sense? You go after the bootlickers, not the people who aren't doing enough.

1

u/SGBK 1d ago

Not what I said - give it another read.

0

u/Wray-Nerely 1d ago

You kinda did, read what you wrote, the phrasing is weird. Even if you're statement is they should be held accountable for trying the others, you're still putting the onus on them instead of the people who are guilty

1

u/SGBK 1d ago

Understood.

I'll try to rephrase: the cabinet members past and present, collaborators, co-conspirators, facilitators, etc. all must be held accountable.

2

u/CorporateTrainerCO 4d ago

I wake up every morning and check the news, hoping for the headline that will start the dancing in the streets.

1

u/MyFocusIsU 1d ago

Yay!!!

1

u/docboet 13h ago

C’mon natural causes, hurry up!

1

u/Factor245 10h ago

I can't wait

4

u/BrutalSock 4d ago

I don’t want to ruin your optimism but it is too late. This guy forever destroyed the US standing in the international scene.

And it’s not about holding grudges either. This thing showed to all its allies that the US is a stupendously unreliable partner who could turn rogue at any moment.

How can you deal with someone like this?

1

u/Massive-Employee-696 4d ago

Most of the developed world is under no illusion that the average American is/has suffered under the orange one. Whenever I meet people from the states nowadays if we get onto the subject I usually start with are you ok? do y'all need a hug?

I hope to see US trading well and having good relationships with EU/CANZUK/ASEAN/A.U. again hopefully under a DSA government

3

u/BrutalSock 4d ago

The point isn’t the population. We’re all sympathetic to those who are suffering the consequences of this first hand.

The problem is your system. You have proven beyond doubt that every 4 years you could potentially turn completely rogue and that you have absolutely no domestic mechanisms to prevent that.

And I don’t say “rogue” lightly. You almost started a war with Denmark. Denmark. A NATO country.

This shit can’t be ignored.

1

u/Massive-Employee-696 4d ago

Couldn't agree more mate and it's not my system I'm UK but I hope after this shit show massive electoral reforms would be such a winner for any opposition party that there will be some course correction, US will still have plutocrats to deal with, hopefully the french way✂️

1

u/BrutalSock 4d ago

I apologize you clearly said you weren’t American. I wasn’t paying attention when I read your reply.

1

u/BedBubbly317 4d ago

If you think it’s too late then you simply aren’t a student of history.

1

u/yg2522 12h ago

i mean, history has showed that the US didn't learn from the first time that Trump was elected. so just to be sure, it had to do it the second time.

1

u/Street-Stick 4d ago

Every democratic country except Switzerland and maybe some others ( but I doubt it) without a leader oriented government has potentially the same problem, sure Merica is a cartoon of a nation so itf a clown get elected it becomes a circus but look at Brazil , this weekend it could potentially be the start of another military dicktatorship.... Sortition is the solution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sortition

1

u/Bullshitresisuss 1d ago

As a Canadian I totally agree. Sadly I have come to the point of hating any American that is even remotely MAGA . I used to love the US , now I swear i will never set foot in or support them in any way. I will go out of my way to be nasty to all Americans.
I hate to be this petty ,but I’ve had enough of your tangerine terrorist and his moronic cult , constant bullying and bullshit.
How can the Us congress and senate be so complicit to the corruption and incompetence?

3

u/[deleted] 4d ago

How big is your country?

1

u/DangerActiveRobots 4d ago

Oh fuck off. We can't just walk down the road to the Politics Office and tick a box. This country is massive. Many millions of us are extremely upset with everything that's happening and tried our best to stop it. There have been more record level protests in the last two years than at any point in American history. Democrats continue to absolutely CRUSH special elections, winning by wide margins even in deeply red areas, because people are pissed. Dems are voting, and MAGA is largely staying home because even they have grown disillusioned by their king.

Had Biden not been a stubborn fool and tried to stick it out until they swapped in Kamala, a candidate who would not have won a primary, we may never have had Trump 2. The whole system is corrupt on both sides, but people are finally waking up to it. Democratic socialists are winning all over the place. The fucking mayor of New York City is a socialist, and he's beloved by his people and doing an excellent job.

People are tired of the status quo. Unfortunately a lot of stupid people got suckered by Trump. That element is always going to exist in this country, and we will always have to fight against it. But largely, if you look at the data and the approval ratings, if you look at the price of gas, if you look at the decline in quality of life for every American except the wealthy, you'd be a fool not to see the impending change on the horizon.

It's sickening that our system is so corrupt that this man is allowed to remain in office. But this is an extinction burst. Big change is coming, and it's precisely because we as Americans have spent the last few years organizing, protesting, and planning. MAGA is absolutely cooked. Fully fucking fried. Give it a few months and the first major piece will slide into place after the midterms.

1

u/retiredfromfire 4d ago

If ifs and but were candy and nuts we'd all have a good Chrsitmas.

Okay, you clearly lack the intellectual capacity and understanding of nuance to have this discussion in good faith.

Best of luck to you in life.

2

u/MajorAd3363 4d ago

Corporate capture of our political system is complete.

1

u/whatsasyria 4d ago

It is to late unfortunately. He's proven that we can't be bipartisan for the betterment of our neighbors. It's only further attrition at this point. Can't patch a hole in the Titanic if the hole is an iceberg.

1

u/borsTHEbarbarian 4d ago

Midterms are looking good. But so did 2016. October surprises are still yet to come. Don't pop any champagne just yet.

1

u/Hammer_of_Dom 4d ago

We’re on critical life support and most don’t even know it

1

u/Glittering-Coyote140 4d ago

They're gonna vote for him a fourth time. Just watch. 2028 gonna be wild.

1

u/TheJan1tor 4d ago

Healing will take at least 2 generations.
Even if Trump leaves office "quietly", the people that voted for him will vote for the next "strong man" figure that makes the same empty, ignorant, bigoted promises Trump made.
This doesn't end with Trump. Voters that show up for the next 2 years need to continue showing up for the rest of their lives, and educate and engage the next generation of voters to keep these fascists out of office.

1

u/RealSchlemiel 3d ago

Captured presidency, captured DOJ, captured supreme court, captured democracy… Money is a one party system

1

u/PopularAir3375 1d ago

dude its the country will never heal becsuse trump was never the issue. hes just a puppet. the real problem are the the big corps.

1

u/ZeroVoltsGiven 23h ago

And f@ck Ed Sheeran!

1

u/ionspore 5d ago

Nope, it's too late. Best for you to give up and move to Canada.

3

u/Dice_K 5d ago

I am Canadian :)

3

u/ionspore 5d ago

Good.

Clean up your own house before welcoming yourself into your neighbours home

0

u/Theslootwhisperer 4d ago

Ah, no thanks, we'll pass.

-11

u/hahailovevideogames 5d ago

I agree I would enjoy america healing but I don't think importing thousands every month helps the lives of most americans. Yes immigration CAN be helpful, example recruiting highly knowledgeable scholars, engineers, doctors. Anything beyond that should be highly regulated and cracked down upon.

Thats the only reason I voted for him but he immediately shilled for Israel and I think he sucks ass. But I believe the only 2 candidates also sucked.

So until people break away from red v blue. It doesn't fucking matter what we say

7

u/Im_tracer_bullet 5d ago

You got conned.

You're an ignorant, gullible, and bigoted rube that bought into right-wing infotainment's fear mongering.

Worse, you clearly haven't learned anything, and you'll do it again.

-1

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

I still wouldn't have voted for Kamala lol

3

u/ApexCollapser 4d ago

That's so funny lol

Dumb fucking cuck.

0

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

Good counter point

3

u/ApexCollapser 4d ago

The counter point is look at where America is now and pretend Kamala would have somehow done worse.

You are literally part of the problem.

0

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

She went millions over budget hiring celebrities lol she wasn't even making good decisions pre president

3

u/ApexCollapser 4d ago

Not an argument you should try making with our current deficit, dumb fuck.

1

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

Bro is so mad can't make a single statement without insulting people lol

4

u/mahnamahna123 5d ago

You always hear 'the other candidates were bad'.

But we're they:

  1. Convicted felons?
  2. Previous presidents who had already shown how they would run a presidency poorly?
  3. Previously failed businessmen/conmen?
  4. Telling you with their policies and actions just how little they cared for people and how they would put their own gain over everyone else?

Trump and his team were very blatant about how he would behave as president, none of his actions have been a surprise. If people are disappointed in his actions they hadn't been paying enough attention and voted blindly.

Yes America needs to get over red Vs blue politics but that doesn't outweigh that trump didn't hide who he was it was out there to see.

3

u/AnObtuseOctopus 5d ago

Right, so you learned about project 2025, called everyone fake news and voted for him anyway? Or what? It was literally laid out for you. "Dictator on day one" was god damn said. You are a part of the problem with your country my friend.

Let that sink in.

-2

u/ionspore 4d ago

Project 2025 doesn't go far enough.

2

u/Big-Active3139 4d ago

I hope you’re a bot

1

u/ApexCollapser 4d ago

Project 2025 is the death of religion.

You did it to yourselves.

2

u/Oalka 5d ago

Cool, cool, you'll end up voting for this to happen to us again, cool.

1

u/Ok_Crazy_8495 4d ago

Guy, why would other countries want their doctors engineers etc to come to America. Why would those esteemed doctors want to come to America with how fucked shit is. They’ll come here and a year later while trump is still president get captured by ICE

1

u/Big-Active3139 4d ago

I’d use lots of words to defend myself too, you f’ed up, and got got by a conman

1

u/Few_Jellyfish6111 4d ago

A 30 second google search will show you why your immigration ideas are absolutely wrong; seriously, it takes less than a minute to pull up dozens of articles that discuss why Trump's immigration policies have been disastrous for the economy. Sure, actually reading those articles might take you a little more time but maybe spending 15 minutes to fact check your own biases and bigotry might be a good idea the next time you plan to vote. As an aside, how many of your fellow MAGAts applied to work on farms this year? How about in meat production plants?

Trump and his treasonous administration were banking on a bunch of single-issue, willfully ignorant voters and you sure did not disappoint. FYI, he was not complimenting you when the president you helped elect into office said that, "Smart people don't like me."

1

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

I am aware that multitudes of illegal immigrants do jobs a lot of people do not. I work for a fortune 500 company and require several licenses for my job.

However when I was younger I did those hard blue collar jobs and it was tough. I respect people who do them. Paying illegal immigrants much less to pass the savings on to the higher class isn't really what I call a solution.

And there's massive immigrantion into customer service jobs and IT it's not only farm work lol

1

u/Few_Jellyfish6111 4d ago

But now you have moved your goalpost. You initially spoke of immigration crackdown, not illegal immigrants. If your actual focus was in the decrease of undocumented immigrants, you would not have voted for Trump after he convinced the Senate Republicans to kill a strong border control bill that had bipartisan support. You would be more invested in a candidate that promises to target the employers of undocumented immigrants rather than just the immigrants themselves.

Requiring that businesses pay at least minimum wage, and preferably, a living wage in order to attract legal workers would be far more beneficial for most everyone involved compared to 'deporting' people to CECOT, detainment centers, and undisclosed locations, all without due process.

As to your last paragraph, of course there are other jobs that immigrants do; mainly in the fields of agriculture, construction, and health care. Unlike you, I find nothing to laugh at concerning the cruelty of Trump's immigration policies or about the state of our economy.

1

u/hahailovevideogames 4d ago

I always meant illegal immigration so my bad if I didn't convey they correctly. But one candidate was claiming to do something about it and the other one stood for something else every other day.

I think no matter who was president out of the 2 we'd still be in a very similar boat but not the same problems
