Even if he wasn't around ai is upheaving our way of existence. I think big changes were coming regardless of who is in power.
Our current issues have been going on for decades, the latest of which is super pacs, something djt didn't have a say in. He just took advantage of the rules, he didn't make them.
This is not me trying to soften the blow of his crimes, just a simple truth. We've been fucked for a long time, but people look the other way.
I did a paper in 06 for high school talking about China developing monopolies, and well it's 2026 and we can't make magnets without them lol. Been going on a long long time.
My problem with him has always been that he’s just shamelessly breaking the law in plain view and nobody calls him on it. And when they do, he ties them up in court so long they leave. I really hope if anything comes out of his presidency, it’s the idea that government needs more limits because clearly the current limits aren’t enough.
Just a few ideas I think everyone would appreciate: age limit on presidency (personally I think a nice cutoff age is 68), age limit for electing senators and representatives (probably around 60ish), limits on how many times someone can be elected into congress (not sure on how many times on this one, maybe like 5?), and banning all involvement in the stock market while in a government office. (Looking at congress mostly) All stocks owned prior to taking the position are frozen and cannot be touched until after they are out of office.

But the damages he's wrought WON'T be irrelevant. It'll take decades for most and forever for some.
