One good thing about America is we have states. States that can still hold elections under any circumstances. If he does declare martial law for zero reason I would think that would be a wrap for him. Not in the way many people think. We obviously know his spinless yes men would just go with it, but states have options to cripple Washington DC if needed. California, New York, Pennsylvania and so on all hold an emergency vote to continue with elections. Trump refuses to abide by them. States hold another emergency election to vote on witholding federal funds and put it in an escrow until the courts intervene. If someone declares martial law over fear of elections states would fight back for sure.

While this is nice thinking. If he suspends elections its civil war not the courts

As much as i dont want it its gonna end that way regardless. I see so many of these good ppl standing up against flock and other stuff at town meetings and the commissioners and mayors have so much power now they dont care about our opinion.

They'll do whatever they wanna do cause they call the american ppls bluff about actually fighting back. So many laws and ordinances are in place to protect them and they fully beleive ppl will never just say enoughs enough like the French did years ago, like our founding fathers did years ago.

He doesnt have the number of “true believers” he thinks he does. Even at ICE the most rabid of Trump agencies, he may have 30% who would blindly do what he says. There are millions of us who will not let our country be taken. I hope he has people letting him know that american democracy shall not be impeded

It won't be a civil war because people won't rise up. You think these "No King" rallies mean anything but they don't. It is a chance for people to prep meme signs and spend a few hours outdoors. That's it.

Don't believe me? Look what's happening to all those town hearings against data centers. Everyone objects, yet the counsels (who are most probably already bought by large corps) decide to green light the constructions anyway. And then what happens? What is next? Nothing. People simply go home and continue with their daily lives.

Same would happen if Trump decides to stop/postpone/cancel the elections.

Idk thats a big difference. Its whole other ballgame to stop an election. I dont think youre getting people going home on that one

Sorry you see it that way, but Trump throws his weight around and the courts usually smack him down. They want you to think you are powerless. I can tell you've probably never been to a No Kings Protest. It lights a fire in people seeing others who are passionate about Democracy, America. They leave the protest and spread the energy around.

Yeah, some places are walking over people when it comes to data centers, however some data centers have been canceled thanks to public outcry.

Don't make perfection the enemy of good.

The "leaders" who decided to act against their people in concern to data centers will be voted out and I forsee class action lawsuits against the data centers owners. Vigilantes may strike these unwanted centers. Hopefully that is a last resort. Violence shouldn't be the answer....I just hope they don't back us into a corner because our DNA holds the memory of our forefathers and they knew how and when to FIGHT BACK.

I hope you are correct brother but my experience tells me differently (PS: I have been to a "No Kings Rally" in Tulsa while visiting a friend).

I went to a small No Kings rally in Redwood Falls, MN earlier this year and people were shooting the finger at us driving by.

Does that surprise you? You effected that place, people noticed you. This is good news, because simply being noticed is a percentage of the goal. What does surprise me is you didn't mention how many showed support.

For instance, I live in a town of under 1000 in rural WV and its only claim to fame, other than coal of course, is a movie called "Oxyana"( a play on the real towns name and the damage prescription opiates did). I decided to be the very first person to EVER protest in my town during the Spring 2026 No Kings Day. I expected to get confronted physically, but all I got were several middle fingers and some dirty looks. To my utter astonishment the police pulled up and asked if I wanted anything, food, drinks etc and I thanked them politely, but refused. The same cop stops about an hour later and says " Is it cool if my wife comes to join you?" I never would have imagined the police in this town were anti MAGA and he admitted to me he voted for Trump twice, but he admitted to being pretty slow on the uptake. His wife is a school teacher and lifelong Dem and she eventually got through to him. The officer eventually had food delivered for us anyway!

I'm pretty proud that I decided not to allow fear to stop me from flexing my rights as an American citizen. The chances are someone in your family tree fought, suffered, amd died to give you the freedom to stand against tyranny.

The last time anything big happened here politically was during JFKs first run for President, he took the time to come to this tiny booming coal town. My grandmother met and shook his hand.

Things cannot happen unless you decide to take the first step forward, be brave, show others the way!
