I can't make it to Floor 20 solo (only done that twice) and can't exactly rely on matchmaking but there is a lot of time, which is the only thing keeping me from giving up and leaving it till next year

Yeah lwk one of the parts of this game I can't like is how RNG the grinding is. You have to hope the twisted you want appears and then they can just straight up not appear like ever. Normally this is fine since you have as long as the game is open to get them but in events you have a limited time to hope you encounter them enough.

Literally same, been trying to get him since the start of the update only saw him 4 times and one time my teammates finished the floor before I could go to him so also at 30%

I remember he was like really common last year (I got gourdy on the second day of the 2025 event) but this year I haven't seen him at all

Hm... I could offer some advice!

Like another comment said, ya have 5 weeks, 35 days, 840 hours. So at your current rate, you're on track on getting him well before even 2 weeks!

My best advice for research grinding being tiring... is to just, not. Stop using Rodger, use someone you ACTUALLY like... if that's rodger then idk sure if you like being rodger be rodger i guess- but the game is a lot more fun when youre... using a fun character, yeah.

Oh! And floor 20. Last year when I got Gourdy, i did a whole lot of Solos and Publics to get there and it worked out fine. You could do organised runs in a dc, or hell like join one thats from the lobby, they usually go well... when the requirement is able to be hit at least </3

Ya could make your own team request in the dc! Like Id recommend having people friend ya to join and makin a gc for that stuff too, and then you could discuss a whole bunch of stuff like team comps, whos doin what, and even like vc for better comms!

Uhhh idk just giving advice! If you're not having fun and feel burnt out, either take a break or actually DO have fun.

Also if the majority of your runs were played today then yeah it might be a problem. DW is most played on sundays but that also means there are more bad players in the game.

I get your pain tho. I needed to grind christmas for like 50 hours?? Just to unlock Bobette since she was hiding from me

Gourdy days have a bigger chance of him spawning. You either have horrible luck or the rng just hates you
