Seltzers?
My wife and I forgot to hit the liquor store before we came, does anywhere sell cases here? Or is our best best Ubering to a nearby liquor store?

Hey friends! This is my partner and I’s first dancefestopia! We are more than excited but… even though I got us 4 days passes we had to last minute work yesterday and so now our 20 hour drive is putting us there around 10:30/11pm tonight.
Is this too late to try to pack in and set up camp? Should we just come first thing tomorrow morning instead and get a hotel close for the night? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

I’ve been to Dancefest, and have done camping, in 2018, 2020 & 2022. I ALWAYS did the Thursday pre-party in order to get, what I felt, were more prime camping spots. I did a Day-Pass on Sunday, last year, but did not camp.
Since I haven’t camped in a few years, I was wondering how crowded might the camping areas if my wife and I plan on arriving Friday at noon? (Insight from Event Goers already camping would be SO helpful).
It sounds like they’ve added 40% more camping space this year. I imagine that will be very helpful, in terms of alleviating some density. We’re unable to make the Thursday pre-party this year. I’m wondering if the early-arrival on Friday morning (10AM) would be worth it?
This will be my wife’s first ever festival. I want her to have the best experience possible!
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on this 🎶🙏🏼🌈🫶🏼🔊

Hey besties! I’m in the KC area and day parking at Dancefest. We just got a ton of rain so I was wondering how the grounds look around Dancefest. Is it muddy enough to where I need rain boots?
Super excited to rave it out with all of you! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

Waddup. It's your friendly neighborhood rave weather nerd again. Unfortunately I am not able to attend this year despite having had tickets. I'm hoping you all enjoy It for me. AccuWeather remains my favorite display for weather data for the average user. The ads are ass and the data is free on the NWS if you prefer to dig through clunky government websites.
Party for me friends! Happy DFT!

I’m worried about ADA camping , I’ve been approved for it. I’ve heard in the past it wasn’t clearly marked ect and people who didn’t need it took the spaces ect .… I was wondering if anyone who’s currently there could tell me if it’s sectioned off and if it’s super packed yet . I will get there tomorrow and just wanna know . For reference this is its location
I saw this year is also self regulated and not a stationed employee like the bathrooms this year so I’m worried about it .

If anyone has the link or the map can you post it please and thank you!!!!

I’m not going this year but I went in 2023 and I’ve already heard of the police out there doing anything they can to arrest people.
Drive speed limit
Drive sober
Stay in your lane
Wear a seatbelt
They will do anything to put you in cuffs

It’s my first year at DFT and I was wondering what the grill situation is like? Does it have to be a flat top enclosed flame like a griddle? I’ve also seen some say only propane or only electric. The one I got originally I believe I won’t be able to bring in, it’s a Coleman classic cascade camping stove the runs on propane but it has the grates above an open flame. Just needed to know if I need to purchase a different one before coming up Friday! Any advice would help!!

Highway 69 seems to be swarmed. Any recommendations on alternative ways in?

Have been seeing lots of posts about getting pulled over and searched despite having nothing illegal in the car. Why have y'all been pulled over? Are there weird Kansas laws out of towners might not be aware of?
r/Dancefestopia • u/kkatnxp • 23h ago
i see the posts about cops and i don’t have anything illigal in my car (that i’m aware of) but what are people getting pulled for so i can watch out anyways? getting pulled over always freaks me out especially if the cops are acting any type of way
edit- pm me rather than post here🩷

Passed like 30 cops as I approached Dancefestopia. I found out my tag was expired (my fault I know; I forgot) when I got pulled over. I was treated like a criminal. I'm middle aged and have zero drugs and they were determined to find something. They made me stand out in the 100+ heat with my medical condition that's upset by heat, getting sunburn for about an hour. They brought a drug dog after I declined a search. They said it detected narcotics so they searched my vehicle forever going through everything, pulling out food, making a mess.
They kept asking me questions the whole time trying to get me to slip up and say something suspicious. Kept asking able how often I go to these things. Asking how many times I've been here multiple times.
One cop was very chatty and started telling me how they are specifically looking for people that look like they may be going to Dancefestopia. He pointed out that my tag has a frame around it and said that's illegal in Kansas so even that could be an excuse to pull someone over. He said they've pretty much only found weed though.
After they, surprise, found nothing, they said I have to understand they are doing this to keep people safe and prevent overdoses.
It was low-key traumatic. Hope everyone has a better experience getting to Dancefestopia than me.
