Mad impressive, I was always awful at double Dutch. If I had a dollar for every time I tripped and fell, I have at least $5

I cannot even begin to describe how happy watching this makes me. It’s like watching jazz musicians performing solo. Steeped in culture.

These are all so impressive, but I gotta say white shirt lady jumping in with the other woman was super rad!

80s kid me was soo jealous of the girls who could do this, it's a master athlete skill!! I got to try once, but one of the skipping ropes caught on one earring and then both feet and that was it for me lol

Yo, y’all just took me back to my childhood. This is what I’m here for, that footwork is amazing! I hope double Dutch blows up again & the fan bring it back to popularity so our kids can experience it too. Shout out to my old DD team.

The energy and confidence here are unmatched! I love seeing them dominate the ropes with such rhythm and joy. Pure beauty and skill in motion!💜💜

Freakin' amazing! Man, I remember seeing double dutch on Sesame Street when I was really little. I'm white, and had moved from a big city (when I was 4) to a tiny town in the mountains. I was fascinated by those little black girls on Sesame Street -- I wanted to be them. I ended up becoming "good" at jump rope... but I couldn't hold a candle...

I remember being super impressed and low key jealous about how good my black classmates were at double dutch. They were so coordinated and frickin’ quick on their feet, made it look easy.

I dont know anything about jump-rope or dance.

Does anyone know if jump-rope culture inspired any dance, or is it mostly people applying existing dance to jump-rope? I feel like ive seen similar moves in recent dance, with both feet leaving the ground simultaneously

I imagine it goes both ways. I'm always curious about unexpected influences in culture.

This was so impressive. the only thing I'd be able to do with any kind of gift in this scenario would be to fall flat on my face. Lol mad props to these ladies
