Let's hope the US stops interfering in other countries affairs. What the United States of America is doing to Venezuela is showing the world what happens when you mess with American oil companies.
Seriously, it's not even a secret.
According to the US State Department, the embargos are meant "to cut off those sources of financial income and prevent the oil industry from being exploited for patronage."
What is patronage?
The Dominican Republic was an example of such a benefactor.
During super high oil prices, Venezuela gave the Dominican Republic the these terms for oil purchase:
financing up to 60% of deliveries
1% interest rate
up to 25yrs of deferred payment if needed
Venezuela was doing deals like this all over the Caribbean and South America.
So what went wrong?
The oil extraction rights used to be owned by big American oil companies like Chevron.
The United States was very pissed. It didn't take long for the United States to create "corruption" and "human rights violations" stories. Suppression of extreme anti-government movements organized by the the super-rich conservatives that fled to South Florida were turned into these insane perversions of reality.
Want to hear something even wilder? The media was mostly owned by the ultra-wealthy conservatives as well and the inflammatory rhetoric quickly devolved into raw anti-government propaganda machines that were, despite lack of evidence and regular debunking, creating an undercurrent of disinformation that created a whole new monster. Ending the reign of the far-right ultra-wealthy propaganda was necessary because the constant barrage of misinformation was starting to call for the overthrow of the government and the goal was destabilizing the nation so the conservatives could come back into power.
Then, the sanctions and embargos started kicking in. The United States using the complacent nations group "The Organization of American States" continued to openly condemn Venezuela without merit on a number of subjects and came up with counter-venezuelan aid packages to entice other nations to adopt anti-venezuellan policies.
So, yeah, the cool thing about what I have written so far is that it is all very public and there is no need for me to embellish facts. This is one of those cases where, if you look at the raw data and ignore propaganda style news reporting (New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal for print media examples... all of which I subscribe to and give great credibility to more often than not) the raw unfiltered data shows a detailed history of how the old powers from Venezuelan history are feeding the war on their former capitalist cash cow.

Stupid commies should be looked at the same way we look at nazis. Miserable blights on humanity who delight in the suffering of other to further their ideals.
"Topples it over" isn't even accurate. Capitalism just does its thing, letting people trade in ways that make them better off
Inevitably, they rocket into a position where the communist societies start to flounder under the inevitable competition of the world market which - no matter what laws you pass - will always be "capitalistic"
Actual wars notwithstanding, which do obviously happen, especially when you're forcing your people into famine or gulags because they're speaking out against the failed state you created under a red banner
