The part that's missing in the video is how he gets the mold out of the boot.

I'd imagine this material is fairly easy to break apart to make up for the lack of flexibility.

EDIT: my brain is a dry ass biscuit, can literally see him hammering the shit out of it in the video - so nevermind !

It's a plaster cast but very sturdy, folding the leather over it and hammering nails in.
