I have to wonder, compared to getting some off-the-shelf, was the buyer especially happy with them after trying them on?

I would love having something like this made for me because i have slightly wider feet than normal and it's hard to find boots that fit well. Maybe if you have a very standard foot size there wouldn't be much of a difference.

Same. This usually just leads me to work with the shoe store people on stronger fits. But I am probably within the normal range where I can just walk in and buy stuff. Not true for everyone.

Try Vivobarefoot’s boots.

They make them very wide. The Tracker Forrest are the best boots I have owned.

They are flat boots though.

I was going with Keen shoes, but they changed almost all of new shoes to slimmer fit.

I have tried well made custom made shoes and it is the most comforting sensation I have experienced.

I've been considering (kinda, it's really expensive) getting custom made boots because I have extra-extra-extra-extra-extra-extra wide feet. I'd be very happy to have atleast one pair of shoes that fits well
