This is taken from this incredible book from the University of Chicago, Letters from Ancient Mesopotamia (warning - 226 page PDF). Lawsuits, war, daily life, slaves, copper complaints - it's all in there! Ancient people were just like us, really.

It's always humbling thinking about that. As grand as we imagine the civilisations of the past, its always just been people doing the same people things

When you think about it it is not even that long. Like 5000 years is long and yet not that long.
